Brief ADHD Screening

For adults who want to talk through possible ADHD-related concerns with a psychologist, without committing to a full assessment. Telehealth, Australia-wide.

Brief ADHD Screening

The screening consultation lets you discuss what you've been noticing, complete a validated screening measure, and get a professional opinion on whether ADHD traits may be present. It's shorter and lower-cost than the full diagnostic process. The focus is on identifying potential ADHD traits, not providing a formal diagnosis.

Complete a validated ADHD screening measure

A 50-minute consultation to talk through your results and current concerns

A summary letter detailing the screening outcome. This can help you decide if a formal diagnostic assessment is the right next step.

Cost: $350. This covers the consultation, the screening measure, and preparation of the summary letter.

Is This Right for You?

This screening is for adults who want a professional opinion on whether ADHD traits are likely present, without committing to a full diagnostic assessment at this stage.

If medication is something you're considering

Psychiatrists, who prescribe ADHD medication, will usually conduct their own assessment before starting a medication trial. This screening can be a useful first step, helping you and your GP determine whether a more comprehensive assessment is warranted.

If you're not considering medication right now

Some people prefer to explore ADHD traits before deciding on a comprehensive assessment. If you are currently not interested in medication, a complete ADHD assessment with a psychologist may also be an option.

What This Screening Doesn't Cover

This is a screening and discussion consultation, not a full diagnostic assessment. It doesn't include a comprehensive report, and it isn't a substitute for the full assessment process if you're seeking a formal diagnosis or documentation for things like workplace or study accomodations.

If a full assessment seems like a better fit, based on what comes up in the screening, I'll let you know and talk you through what that would involve and next steps.
